Cluster JapanTech Grand Est

Cluster JapanTech Grand Est

From the 80s to the creation of the Cluster JapanTech Grand Est

Since the 1980s, Alsace has been one of the privileged French regions for hosting Japanese companies with the establishment of large groups, still present today, such as Ricoh Industrie France in Wettolsheim, Mitsubishi Equipment Alsace in Mulhouse or THK Manufacturing of Europe SAS in Ensisheim. Nearly 5,000 jobs have been created in Alsace thanks to these establishments.

Creation of a multi-sector cluster dedicated to Japanese innovation

The JapanTech Grand Est Cluster was created on August 28, 2020 in Kientzheim, Alsace, by the CEEJA with the support of the Grand Est Region with the aim of networking the Japanese presence installed in the Grand Est (more than one forty companies), particularly in the field of innovation.

With a unique incubator in Europe, entirely dedicated to Japanese SMEs and start-ups, this cluster offers various collective services to its members (project development support, networking, matchmaking, collective communication, provision of equipment, etc. .) but also the possibility of hosting Japanese companies and supporting job creation, in particular through the action plan of the State/Ricoh revitalization agreement.
